What Fin reads
When a professional Instagram account is connected to Fin, Fin reads that account's profile (username, picture, follower count), its posts' public details (caption, link, date) and their insights (views, reach, likes, comments, shares, saves, watch time), and the account's daily and monthly insights. For YouTube, Fin reads public channel and video statistics with an API key; no YouTube sign-in is involved.
What Fin does with it
It shows the numbers to the small team that makes the account's videos, so they can see what worked. Fin does not post, message, comment, advertise, or sell or share the data with anyone.
How it is kept
In a private database. The Instagram login is stored encrypted and is used only to read the numbers above. Only people on Fin's access list can sign in.
Removing it
Remove Fin in Instagram (Settings, Website permissions, Apps and websites) and the login is deleted at once. To have everything Fin read deleted, follow deleting your data.
